Site Management

The Site Management page provides you with options to customize the look and feel of your checkout area. Once you have logged in, click on the ‘Account’ tab and then click the ‘Site Management’ sub-tab. The Site Management page is divided into 3 sections, as shown below:

Demo Setting – Uses the Demo Setting slider to decide how your account will handle Demo orders. You must select from the following 3 options inside of your 2Checkout account to control the use of the Demo parameter. Those choices are:

  • On – Using this setting all sales will be treated as demo, regardless of any parameter value.

  • Off – Using this setting all sales will be treated as live, regardless of any parameter value. We recommend this setting when you launch live sales on your web site.

  • Parameter – Using this setting a demo parameter sent to the purchase routine will control the demo setting.

Company Name – Your company’s name.

URL – The URL for your site that you had provided when you submitted your application. To change the URL on your account please contact risk@2checkout.com.

Soft Descriptor – The descriptor that will appear on buyers billing statements.

Site Title – Your site title that will be displayed in product listings.

Site Description – A short description of your site or business.

Site Category – The category that your products or services best fit into.

Google Analytics – The tracking ID for your Google Analytics account.

Pricing Currency – The default currency in which your product prices will be displayed. This can be overridden on a per-sale bases using the currency_code parameter when using a third party or custom cart that does not utilize the Plug and Play parameter set.

*You may change the information in these fields prior to being approved to sell. Once your account has been approved, you must contact risk@2checkout.com to change the policies and/or URL associated with these policies.

Refund Policy – Allows you to select whether you will be providing a link to your own refund policy or using a 2Checkout default refund policy.

Refund Policy URL – Field to provide the URL for your refund policy if you elect to link to your own page.

Privacy Policy – Allows you to select whether you will be providing a link to your own privacy policy or using a 2Checkout default privacy policy.

Privacy Policy URL – Field to provide the URL for your privacy policy if you elect to link to your own page.

Direct Return – Allows you to select how buyers and sale parameters will be returned to you upon a sale.

  • Given links back to my website – The customer will be taken to our Order Processed page that features a Click Here to Finalize Your Order button. When clicked, the customer will be directed to the approved URL and the sale parameters will be passed using the POST method.

  • Direct Return – The sale parameters will be passed using the POST method while the approved URL is fetched by our server and displayed to the customer while they remain on the 2Checkout.com domain.

  • Header Redirect – The customer will be immediately returned to your approved URL and the sale parameters will be passed using the GET method.

Please Note: If product level approved URLs are used and multiple Plug & Play products are ordered on a customer order, the customer will be provided with multiple approved URL buttons allowing them to access each product that was purchased. The sale parameters will be returned using the GET method in this case.

Approved URL – Input a URL for your customers to be sent to on a successful purchase. (Credit Card, Debit, PayPal)

Affiliate URL – Input the URL provided by your third party affiliate program. Example:https://affiliate.com/sale.cgi?order=$a_order&total=$a_total&product=$a_product&quantity=$a_quantity

Entering your affiliate URL into this field will allow 2Checkout to pass sale data through to your 3rd party affiliate system, so that it can track affiliate sales/payments.  This information will be passed to the affiliate URL via the POST method.

 

Secret Word – Your secret word is used in the encryption of a parameter 2Checkout will send to upon completion of a sale, namely, the MD5 hash.

Purchase Logo – Allows you to upload a logo that can be displayed at checkout on your purchase page.

Checkout Page Manager – Allows you to create a custom theme for Dynamic Checkout to be used for your purchase page.
