Error Code:PE101

Sellers as well as buyers may receive the message ERROR CODE PE101 for several reasons, outlined below:

 

Plug-and-Play Parameters:

  • No value/invalid value for the "sid" parameter was passed in.

    Solution:  The only acceptable value for "sid" is the 2Checkout account number.  Instructions on how to find your 2Checkout account number can be found here.

     

  • No parameters passed to the checkout routine.

    Solution: You will need to check the coding of your ‘Buy Now’ button to ensure that it is passing the appropriate product information.  Required parameters are listed here.

     

  • The buyer clicked the "Back" button in their browser after submitting their payment.

    Solution: If the order still shows up in your 2Checkout system, then the order successfully processed.  Inform your buyers to not click ‘back’ after submitting payment in the future, and the issue should not reoccur.

Hosted Checkout Parameters:

  • No value/invalid value for the "sid" parameter was passed in.

    Solution:  The only acceptable value for "sid" is the 2Checkout account number.  Your account number can be found by logging into your 2Checkout account, and clicking on the silhouette icon in the top right corner of the page.

     

  • No parameters passed to the checkout routine.

    Solution: You will need to check the parameters listed in your checkout coding to ensure that it is passing the appropriate product information.  Required parameters are listed here.

     

  • The buyer clicked the "Back" button in their browser after submitting their payment.

    Solution: If the order still shows up in your 2Checkout system, then the order successfully processed.  Inform your buyers to not click ‘back’ after submitting payment in the future, and the issue should not reoccur.

Legacy Parameters:

    Solution: The only acceptable value for "x_login" is the 2Checkout account number.  Please check the “x_login” parameter to ensure that it matches your 2Checkout account number.  Your account number can be found by logging into your 2Checkout account, and clicking on the silhouette icon in the top right corner of the page.

     

  • No parameters passed to the checkout routine.

    Solution: You will need to check the parameters listed in your checkout coding to ensure that it is passing the appropriate product information.  Required parameters are listed here.

     

  • The buyer clicked the "Back" button in their browser after submitting their payment.  

    Solution: If the order still shows up in your 2Checkout system, then the order successfully processed.  Inform your buyers to not click ‘back’ after submitting payment in the future, and the issue should not reoccur.

3rd Party Cart System (various parameter sets):

  • No value/invalid value for the "sid" or “x_login” parameter was passed in.

    Solution: Please review your cart’s settings to ensure your 2Checkout account number is entered. This may be labeled in your cart as “login”, “merchant ID”, “store ID”, or “account number”.  Your account number can be found by logging into your 2Checkout account, and clicking on the silhouette icon in the top right corner of the page.

     

  • No parameters passed to the checkout routine.

    Solution: Please review your cart’s settings and product database to ensure products exist.

     

  • The buyer clicked the "Back" button in their browser after submitting their payment.

    Solution: Please review your cart’s settings to ensure you have selected the correct return/passback method
